People

Powering people - focused change.

Volunteers

PlayItForward is a partner-led initiative which empowers our people and partners to work together on charitable projects that capture their hearts.

Embodying a unique approach to giving back, all participants are encouraged to nominate charitable organisations and worthy causes they would like to support.

Participants will then regularly engage in voting sessions to determine which charities will receive donations and volunteers’ time. Since its inception, the initiative has attracted over 15,400 votes and more than 200+ suggestions.

In 2022 alone, over 35 causes were supported locally in the Isle of Man, including Alzheimers Society, A Little Piece of Hope, Women’s Refuge, Northern Men in Sheds, The Ann Fox Foundation, ME Support, IOM Parrot Sanctuary, a children’s golf programme, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete and an upcoming local cyclist.

No weather will stop our volunteers; come rain or shine, you’ll find them helping whenever and wherever they can!

Responsible Gambling

PlayItForward supports various organisations in their mission to
treat, minimise and prevent gambling-related harm, helping make a difference to those who need it most.

In 2023, PlayItForward supported local and national responsible gambling charities, including

Betknowmore UK, Gordon Moody Association and Motiv8 Isle of Man.

Where responsible gambling initiatives concern us, we walk the walk. In the last year, we have helped fund a wide range of projects including comfort funds for loved ones affected by gambling, furniture for a new therapy centre as well as helping to modernise a website to include more safer gambling content, digital self-help materials and tools.

Education Bursary

We believe that the Isle of Man’s next generation of leaders, thinkers and creators should be given every opportunity to flourish, which is why we launched the PlayItForward Education Bursary in 2014 alongside the Department of Education, Sport, and Culture (DESC).

In its 10th year, the Education Bursary has funded university bursaries for 36 of the Island’s brightest sparks, with 7 gifted students currently being supported through the 2023/24 academic year.
